INTERNATIONAL ROUND-UP

Over the international break, six United players were called upon to represent their country after impressing at club level.

On home turf, Academy graduates Ross Graham and Chris Mochrie received call-ups to the Scotland U21 and U19 squads respectively. Ross was awarded his international debut by former United boss Peter Houston against Kazakhstan on Tuesday, before going on to net a towering header just 26 minutes into his international career to give his side the lead. The match eventually finished 2-2 as the 21s' difficult start to the UEFA Euro U21 Championship continues. Chris appeared in the UEFA U19 Championship Elite Round last week, entering the fray after 71 minutes in Scotland's 2-1 victory over Turkey in Hungary, a match which fellow Academy graduate Kerr Smith also featured in.

Staying in the UK, Dylan Levitt was part of the Wales squad which defeated Austria 2-1 at the Cardiff City Stadium, that victory setting up a crucial World Cup Play-Off Final against either Ukraine or Scotland. Unfortunately, the Manchester United loanee was forced to drop out of the squad on Monday due to illness but has trained with Tam Courts' squad this week ahead of Saturday's match against Hibernian.

Moving further afield, both Ilmari Niskanen and Carljohan Eriksson headed to Spain to represent Finland, competing in friendlies against Iceland and Slovakia. Immi started against the former, bagging himself an assist as he teed up Norwich City forward Teemu pukki for the opening goal on 12 minutes, whilst Saku still looks to challenge Jesse Joronen for the number one jersey.

Finally, midfielder Florent Hoti played 67 minutes for his native Kosovo's U21 side in a double-header against Slovenia in the UEFA U21 European Championship Qualifiers.
