Ask students to guess the origin of different types of music from
around the world
- Broken Squares (155 KB)
Broken Squares is an instructional game in cross-cultural
communication and problem-solving. The purpose is to sensitise the
students to the problems involved in cross-cultural communication
and problem solving as a team.

This lesson is intended to offer scouts a hands-on way to recognize
and learn about the challenges faced by people living in poverty
housing: How are houses built? What materials are used? Why are
those materials chosen? How effective are those materials?

This adaptation will allow the students to gain a broader and deeper
understanding of issues of poverty and realize why a family may be
living in poverty housing. It will also allow them to empathise more
fully with people in this situation
